ANOTHER COUNTRY

ANOTHER COUNTRY

After half of her life done and dusted,
Folded neatly in the boxes,
She jokingly realizes,
Her gender dynamics were wrong.

Locked rooms,
Clear thoughts,
Bathed Barbaric benevolence,
Stranger conversations.

Finding herself took years of searching,
Wondering, guessing and questioning.

That’s about it,
She belonged somewhere else.
